I developed toola to streamline analysis of qualitative data for Rare’s Sustainable Agriculture program in China by modifying the data mapping process from the Unified Brand Marketing curriculum. This was used during the Social Impact Campaign Workshop, A six-day, hands-on social marketing boot camp for Rare’s partners in organic agriculture development in Zhuqiao, China.
I worked closely with the Rare China team to develop a social impact marketing campaign aimed at cotton farmers in this southwest corner of China. My role was to help the team determine target audiences, develop the research plan, plan and run focus groups, and create a data mapping tool for marketing outputs, and facilitate a workshop.
Over the course of the 5 day workshop we worked with the agricultural partners to analyze data, create the marketing strategy for the campaigns, and produce materials.

FOCUS GROUP TRAINING
RARE China

I developed a blended-learning Focus Group training and delivered to university students who were testing logos, and conservation analysts in China who would be conducting focus groups for the first time. These groups were both working on Rare’s Organic Agriculture project in Zhuqiao, China. The groups gathered the qualitative data to be used with the data mapping tool to create reliable marketing outputs quickly for the social impact marketing campaigns to be launched at two sites.
